Flawless to say the least, every expectation was exceeded. Honestly, when you get to marry the love of your life all the other stuff is just a beautiful bonus. The romantic décor juxtaposed against the rustic yet elegant back ground was breathtaking. We had always dreamed of getting married under an old tree; to symbolize the strength and longevity of what we wanted our marriage to embody; so when we found Circle Oak Ranch we knew we found our dream destination. Beautiful Oak doors graced the entrance of the aisle welcoming me, the bride with the grand entrance every bride dreams of. Beautiful ornamental balls, pompoms and florals hung and swayed from the tree and under it all is where we said our magical “I Do’s.” We danced back down the aisle to Hall & Oats, “You make my dreams come true.” It was truly magical and so much more.
After all eyes were dried the real fun began as our guests headed to cocktail hour, where a beautiful display of fruits cheeses and finger foods were available to eat as well as our signature cocktails. Groom’s drink was your classic whisky mule, masculine, no frills just all the goods, perfect for my husbands personality. While the my drink was a little less understated, a blush pink lavender lemonade, true to my fashion of wanting to stand out a bit. We had interactive cut outs of ourselves from our favorite place and where we met {stagecoach} for people to put their heads in and take pictures. It was a big hit to be “us” for a moment, we were told.
{we were off in the back ground taking group photo’s, now this is the one area of our wedding I wish I could have changed, other than whizzing by in the golf cart we weren’t able to enjoy any of the cocktail hour goodies. Although, our sunset photos are to die for, so I don’t know what I would have missed more.}
Our first dance was to Christiana Perry’s Duet of 1,000 years. Market lights were strung with a chandelier and joyful words spoken. Everyone grubbed on BBQ, S’mores and pastry bites.
My claim to fame and still one of the biggest and best gets of mine and Frankie’s entire relationship came next. See, we have this ongoing “icing” battle between us both and our friends and well I thought this to be the perfect opportunity to “ICE” my now, Husband. I hide a Smirnoff Ice in my garter, so when he went in head first to retrieve the garter he got a little more than he had bargained for. He was shocked, blamed his friends first because he didn’t think I could be that sneaky, OH MAN, it was PRICELESS! Only my girls and I were in on it. It was the perfect proclamation of our silly love and everyone was there to share it with us.
After that, all bets were off, it was truly time to let loose. The “party pants” …or should I say shirts, came off and “dancing shoes” hit the dance floor, no rug was left uncut. Literally, shirts were off, sunglasses on and dance circles took center stage. We felt so blessed to be surrounded by our closest friends and family, helping us usher in what was the best day of our lives, to date.
I’d have to say we threw the most epic party of the year! Everyone said, “We set the tone for the day, our happiness and love for one another was palpable and they couldn’t help but have a great time in our honor.”
